Volunteer Drivers Needed for Outreach Program this Fall

GUELPH, Ontario July 28, 2012 - Guelph Wellington Seniors Association - Our Community Support Services staff have been working to expand the GWSA Outreach Program, and beginning in September are pleased to introduce two new locations. This will bring us to a total of 4 operating days between the Evergreen, St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the West End Community Centre. With the program expansion, we will be serving more program participants and have nearly resolved a two year waitlist!

When we are short of drivers, we have the generous support of Stone Lodge Retirement Residence who provide taxi cabs however, we can always use the help of more volunteer drivers. As our current drivers will tell you, the personal touch of supporting home bound seniors get to the program is what makes this volunteer position special. Our participants are ever gracious for the support and we simply could not accomplish what we do without the support of our drivers.

If this is something you could spare a few hours a month for, or know anyone who may be interested, kindly have them contact me for further details.

Thanks all for your ongoing support,
